Taking to Twitter last week to clear up swirling rumours of his colourful love-life, Shane Tweeted: ‘I’ve been single for 3 years & not dated anyone or been on 1 date in that time.’

He went on to thank his fans for their support in the midst of controversy over recent years, Tweeting: ‘Ps I also really appreciate all the support over the years from the public towards me. It does mean a lot [sic].’
‘Thankyou also to Carl & his team at Advanced Hair who I’ve been with for 14 years, you guys are the best. Time to rip the top off another cold one lol. No more tweets hahah [sic],’ he concluded.

While it’s unclear what exactly inspired Shane to defend his dating history, many of his fans took the opportunity to quiz the Tinder enthusiast about his definition of the word ‘dating’.
Shane’s last official relationship – with busty DJ and model Emily Scott – ended in September 2014 after just three months.
