Sia reveals the REAL reason she was late for Sydney show

She was slammed by fans in Melbourne on Thursday after giving a performance that some described as the ‘worst concert ever.’

And Sia’s bad luck continued on Saturday, after she was late to her Sydney concert.

Taking to Twitter to explain the delay, the 41-year-old wrote: ‘I may be five minutes late. We couldn’t catch a plane due to weather, so drove thirteen hours then blew a tire which has given me crazy diarrhoea.’

‘I may be five minutes late!’ Sia took to Twitter to explain her tardiness for her Sydney concert on Saturday

She then tweeted: ‘Four minutes from venue. Fully dressed. Ready to go. Bear with me. Massive apologies.’

Despite the slight delay, the Chandelier hitmaker was able to put on a memorable performance for fans once she arrived at Allianz Stadium.

She belted out her biggest hits for the sodden spectators who tried to protect themselves from the stormy weather at the outdoor venue by donning plastic raincoats.

The star’s Sydney shows comes towards the end of her Nostalgic For The Present tour, which has already played at 23 locations in the United States.

For the performance, Sia donned her trademark black and blonde wig, shielding her eyes from the audience as she performed hits including Diamonds and Chandelier.

The talent was joined on the stage by Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler, who has been working as a back-up dancer on the tour.

Another Sia fan told Daily Mail Australia the pop star’s show was ‘overbearing’ and ‘unconvincing’.

It comes just hours after Sia’s promoter Michael Chugg has defended the hit-maker after poor reviews.

Many fans and concert goers complained they couldn’t see or hear the singer during the 90-minute set and bemoaned having pre-recorded visuals instead of a live-feed of the performer.

Michael, who also attended the talent’s gig, was adamant many of the audience enjoyed her appearance telling Sydney Confidential: ‘I saw 26,000 kids going apesh**, what can I say?’

Another annoyance by fans was that Sia didn’t address the crowd until the very end of her stadium show, to which Michael explained.

‘She’s never talked on stage, that’s how she is. She has dancers on stage with her, that’s how it’s always been. I’ve also read a lot of euphoria about the show on Twitter and people saying thank you,’ Michael added.

Guests paid up to $179 for tickets, with some fans asking for their money back and adding: ‘The most expensive ticket I ever bought for the cheapest show in town.’

Another frustrated fan Tweeted: ‘Sat thru 3hrs of support acts for 75min show. Artist stood in same spot all show, no audience interaction, relied entirely on backing-track (no live band) & pre-record video. Boring & pretentious. Was @Sia even there or have we been had?’
