Six people injured after hot air balloon crash

Multiple people have suffered various injuries after a hot air balloon incident in the NSW Hunter Valley. 

A sudden wind change caused the balloon crashed into the ground on Campe Road at Greta, 20km from Cessnock around 7am on Saturday morning.  

A police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia 15 people were on board at the time of the incident and six have been injured.

Four people are understood to have suffered minor injuries, with two others serious but stable.

A 20-year-old woman is suspected to have injured her spinal cord and an 80-year-old woman has multiple fractures.

Due to the four-wheel drive access only, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the location.  

Police say an investigation into the incident will be led by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.
