One of Sophie’s top beauty tips is to always pack a great face moisturiser, something she claims is an ‘essential for your carry-on’.

‘This will keep your skin hydrated and feeling fresh after a long flight when skin is often dried out,’ she told Ten Daily.

Also, she reminds people to include sunscreen and to pop a favourite lipstick into their cosmetics case.

Her other suggestion to those travelling long-haul is to make sure they pack hand-sanitiser and a packet of tissues – two items she said are essential, especially when travelling with kids.

Upgrading to a better seat – without forking over some serious cash – is also something the travel host said was possible.

And her trick? Simply be brave enough to ask.

‘If you’re travelling alone, I’d recommend just really politely ask a flight attendant, or even at check-in, if there might be any upgrade possibilities,’ she said.

Sophie also revealed taking care of herself while flying helped her to arrive feeling her best.

Her top tip was to always drink as much water as possible to stave off dehydration -something which can contribute to jet lag.

She also said she will order a gluten-free meal because this means she will be served first, allowing her to spend more time enjoying in-flight entertainment or sleep.

For those planning their next getaway, the travel host revealed the number one destination she thinks should be on everyone’s bucket list right now.

‘If you haven’t been, Fiji is an incredible place to visit and it’s really so close to Australia,’ she said.
