Sophie Guidolin shares secrets incredible workout routine

Australian personal trainer and mother-of-four, Sophie Guidolin, made headlines after debuting her incredibly lean physique just weeks on from giving birth.

And while she may make it look easy, the fitness queen, 28, has revealed that her figure is the result of a lot of hard work and dedication.

Appearing on The Morning Show, Ms Guidolin, who has over 350,000 Instagram followers, shared how despite growing up in a healthy home, she rebelled and hit the junk food after she got married at 18. 

‘With my first pregnancy I gained over 30 kilos, and it was more about feeling so lethargic and having no strength,’ Ms Guidolin said.

‘I was really tired all the time. I ended up really low in iron and B12 and had to go back to the basics I knew from my childhood.’

The active mother, who is also a published author, shared that though she’d never been a person who enjoyed exercising, she learned to ‘fall in love with it’.

‘When I was at school I would ask my mum to write me letters to get out of it because I didn’t like the feeling of exercise,’ she said.

Though she noted how hard it can be when people first start exercising to gain fitness, Ms Guidolin said once fitness levels build, exercise becomes a lot more enjoyable.

Despite the fact her pregnancy with her twins was a lot healthier than her first pregnancies, she revealed she’d struggled with negative comments on social media.

‘I knew that what I was doing was right for the babies, and both my husband and myself and personal trainers so I was never pushing myself to the limits.

‘Everything that I was doing was putting the babies health first,’ she continued.

‘I knew with my husband’s guidance beside me, I wouldn’t have done anything that would have put them at risk.’

Within a year of giving birth to her twin girls, Ms Guidolin had returned to competitive bodybuilding.

Though she came third in the world and first in Australia, the fitness enthusiast revealed stepping onto the stage not long after giving birth wasn’t without its struggles.

‘When I decided to compete I was in a mental frame, a healthy frame, my food was great, I was exercising,’ she said. 

‘For me to get back on stage after having the twins was a goal I had realistically set.’

Ms Guidolin’s dedication to her lifestyle choice has seen has seen her release a new book Macros: A Wellness and Lifestyle Guide to Transform Your Body.

She not only shares wholefood recipe favourites complete with macro breakdowns, Ms Guidolin offers meal plans and exercise guides too.

Speaking previously to Daily Mail Australia, the health advocate said information in the book was accessible to all. 

‘Anyone from a pregnant woman to an elite athlete, to an everyday office worker could benefit and completely change their body,’ she said.

With most wanting to renew their commitment to health and fitness in the New Year, the personal trainer willingly revealed there are some simple ways to ensure success.

‘With most of my clients, the biggest mistake they make is that they are actually undereating, and they are scared to eat carbs or fats,’ she said on The Morning Show.

‘But they need to eat carbs and fats in order to fuel their bodies and their hormone levels, gain strength, have fitness goals.

‘I know that for me I eat amazing food every single day, and I am the leanest I have ever been, even after having the four kids. And I don’t exercise excessively,’ she concluded.
