Spurned lover sent explicit photo of boyfriend’s mistress to her

A spurned lover sent a naked photo of her boyfriend’s mistress to the younger woman as she confronted her about the affair on Facebook.

Marion Harrower, 56, discovered her boyfriend was sleeping with 29-year-old Nicola McGhee, who is 27 years her junior.

When the retail manager confronted the younger lover online on February 11 she sent an image of her ‘clearly exposing her vagina’ to the camera.

Sending the explicit image saw Harrower charged with breaking Section 127(1)(b) of the Communications Act 2003 by sending ‘an indecent image’.

She pleaded guilty in Paisley Sheriff Court, west of Glasgow, on Tuesday and was fined £500 by Sheriff David Pender.

A second charge that she had sent further indecent images of Ms McGhee to her on February 16 this year was dropped by prosecutors.

Ms McGhee saw the image about 9.10am, five hours after it was sent, and complained to police, who launched an investigation and arrested Harrower.

Defence lawyer Kirsten Ferguson said Harrower was in an on-off relationship for about four years with a man referred to only in court as Mr Whitelaw.

‘In January it came to her attention he was also in a relationship with Ms McGhee,’ she said.

‘It was a very controlling relationship and during it she was all over the place. This was after being on a night out and having a few drinks.’

Ms Ferguson said Harrower was sent messages on Facebook by someone named Moonshiner, advising her there were pictures of her on a swingers’ site

When she investigated, she found pictures of Ms McGhee and drunkenly sent one to her.

‘She was very emotional and all over the place,’ Ms Ferguson said.
