Strictly fans try Joe and Katya’s gravity defying lift

It was a series highlight, a lift so dramatic that it earned Strictly hopeful Joe McFadden a place in next week’s final.

However, while Joe has spent weeks in training with professional partner Katya Jones, he still offered mere mortals a glimmer of hope that they might be able to pull off the same tricky move.

Viewers have been posting hilarious videos of their own attempts – each one proving just how hard it was to pull off.

Wow! Katya Jones stunned audiences and judges alike on Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing, when she balanced partner Joe McFadden’s entire weight in an incredible dance move

At home, spurred on by festive spirit and perhaps something stronger, others have been trying out the move.

Joe himself even asked viewers to upload their videos, writing: ‘We’ve started a craze, please post your attempts!’
