Strictly’s Charlotte Hawkins dazzles in a sequinned gown

She had been partnered with Strictly veteran Brendan Cole for this year’s series.

But despite her early exit from the BBC competition, Charlotte Hawkins has proved she still knows how to make her way around a dance floor, as she joined the dancing professional for a fun-loving shoot with Best magazine.

The Good Morning Britain presenter looked simply sensational as she slipped into a glittering pink sequinned gown to showcase her ballroom skills.

Stunning: Charlotte Hawkins has proved she still knows how to make her way around a dance floor, as she joined her former Strictly professional Brenda Cole for a fun-loving shoot with Best magazine

Not willing to give up her Strictly sequins just yet, Charlotte dazzled in the shimmering design that sheathed her slender frame.

Featuring capped sleeves and a low-cut neck, her frock clung to her lithe physique, before billowing out behind her as she performed a series of lifts with a dapper looking Brendan, who was clad in a two-piece suit.

The star teamed his suit with a crisp white shirt underneath and looked delighted to be reunited with Charlotte again.

She, meanwhile, was beaming from ear-to-ear as she danced alongside Brendan, while sporting her shoulder-grazing blonde locks in soft glamorous curls and flawless make-up that accentuated her features.

Charlotte had been the third celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing, with her dance partner Brendan insisting her departure had been ‘too soon’ into the competition.

On her exit she had credited the dancer for ‘having her back’ throughout her time on the show, as she said: ‘I’ve had an amazing time. It’s been brilliant from start to finish and a huge thank you to Brendan who has been fantastic. We’ve had such a great time you’ve always been there for me and had my back.

‘Thank you to everyone who voted. I’ve loved the chance to come out here and dance and I’ve been trying to get better and better. I’m going out knowing that I gave it my best which is all you can do.’

An emotional Brendan then teased that he could be leaving Strictly, as he appeared to well up following their exit and cryptically said: ‘Quite often you stand in this position and you think, “Hey, it was our time to go,” and perhaps it is but not often you stand here with such sadness and go, “I’m going to miss this.”

‘I’m going to miss dancing with this girl. I’ve had one of the best Strictly’s I’ve had in 15 years, and it’s hard to say. It’s emotional.’

However, he was quick to hit back at the speculation during an interview, alongside Charlotte, on Good Morning Britain in October. He said: ‘Every year I have this argument with myself, “Do I want to come back next year?” I love the show and I love being on it.

‘This is one of the best series I’ve ever done. Am I coming back next year? It depends if the BBC want me and what I’m doing at the time? Every year is a new contract.’

Although, he did add that he finds it ‘frustrating’ that the professionals ‘are not allowed to have an opinion’ when it comes to the judges’ critiques.

Brendan, who has been known to hit back at the panel and their comments on many occasions on the show, claimed: ‘I’ve realised through the power of social media that people don’t like it if you have an opinion and I have a very strong opinion!’

Meanwhile, viewers recently saw former Saturdays star Mollie King eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing alongside her professional partner AJ Pritchard.

The duo, who have sparked speculation they are ‘dating’ throughout the series, found their supposed ‘romance’ hot topic of conversation throughout the live semi-final, as hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman appeared to tease the couple over the swirling rumours.

At one moment in the show, Claudia announced: ‘Let’s address the elephant in the room’. ‘What whether Mollie and AJ are a couple?’ Tess chimed back in response, before Claudia swiftly replied: ‘No,’ and pointed towards another dance.

Although she couldn’t resist picking up on the chemistry between Mollie and AJ once more, as Mollie teared up over a mistake she had made during her second performance of the night. She and AJ had performed both a Samba and a Waltz during the semi-final show.

As Mollie came over all emotional, Caudia exclaimed: ‘Don’t worry you have him,’ while pointing at her dance partner.

Mollie, meanwhile, did little to dispel the rumours, as she was seen gushing about her dancing ‘beau’ after being voted out of the series. She said: ‘AJ, you have been just incredible and you have been my hero for the last couple of months so thank you so much. I couldn’t have done any of it without you.’
