Strippers hold topless carwash fundraiser for injured cops

A group of strippers have held a topless car wash to benefit two cops who were injured in a shootout at a Rastafarian pot farm.

The dancers at City Limits Showgirls raised $2,560 at the Saturday event in Marysville, California, to benefit Yuba County Sheriff’s Deputies Phillip Bronson and Andrew Everhart.

The two lawmen were injured last month after responding to a report of an employee acting erratically at a marijuana farm maintained by the Rastafarian church.

The suspect, identified as Mark Sanchez, had reportedly been pulling up plants on the farm and ran into a mobile home with a handgun when the deputies arrived.

They searched the trailer but could not find him, until he popped out of hiding and shot both deputies, injuring them.

Sanchez, a felon with a history of violent crime, was killed in the exchange of gunfire.

To show their support for the sheriff’s department, the ladies at Showgirls volunteered to hold the topless carwash in the club’s parking lot as a fundraiser for the injured men and their families.

‘We’re giving back to the community that we’re a part of,’ bartender Anita Ashby told KCRA.

The sheriff’s department said it had looked into the legality of the event, and said that since it was held inside an enclosed tent, and IDs were checked to make sure everyone was over 18, that it was perfectly legal.

Still, the sheriff’s department didn’t want to be seen as directly linked to the sleazy suds of the topless carwash.

‘While we appreciate the sentiment of support from the business owner, we do not endorse the event,’ the department said in a statement.

The department said it would be up to the deputies whether to accept the donations raised by the event.
