Students from elite school suspended for bad behaviour

Two Year 12 students were suspended from an elite Adelaide high school for what is believed to be a muck-up prank gone too far.

The students, who attended Prince Alfred College were suspended in their final week of school for ‘antisocial’ behaviour, The Adelaide Advertiser reported.

Details are not yet available as to what the boys did to deserve the suspension, but Principal Bradley Fenner told Daily Mail Australia their behaviour was ‘unacceptable’.

‘This year’s Year 12 valedictory events were extremely positive overall and provided a wonderful send-off for our students,’ he said.

‘Whilst most of our boys were outstanding, unfortunately we had a couple who got it wrong.

‘Two students were suspended following unacceptable behaviour on Monday, October 23.

‘We have zero tolerance for anti-social behaviour.’

The incident has been labelled a ‘misjudgement’ by the school, who refused to comment further.

As many as 50 students from Sydney’s elite Knox College were suspended after Year 12 students from the boy’s school ran riot across the grounds and the local area.

Students skipped classes and gathered at a nearby park before causing havoc at the school, flipping furniture over and throwing watermelons, eggs and flour at buildings.

The day-long muck-up celebration was reportedly cut short when police responded to reports of glass bottles being hurled at students in lower grades, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The students’ behaviour, which included the overturning of a grandstand, has been called it ‘anarchy’ by nearby residents.

It is believed a golf cart was hijacked and eggs and watermelons were thrown at buildings before police confiscated alcohol and moved the crowd on.

Younger students locked themselves in classrooms and sought refuge in the staff-room, and a mother reported being abused by students outside the school, the publication reported.

‘I came outside and saw them throwing beer bottles in the street. When one started pissing on the garage I told them to leave and they said “f*** off”, then ran away,’ she said.
