Sunrise team drink and dance in Alice Springs airport room

They’re the polished team that present the nationally broadcast breakfast program, Sunrise, on Channel Seven.

But host Samantha Armytage gave a sneak peek into what the crew gets up to when the cameras aren’t rolling on Thursday.

The 41-year-old TV host posted a short video from Alice Springs Airport, explaining: ‘This is how we pass the time in airports…..’

The Sunrise team was travelling to Uluru for their Friday show, but appeared to have stopped briefly in the remote Northern Territory town airport.

Sam, from behind the camera, began filming Sunrise weather presenter Sam Mac, asking: ‘Sam Mac, tell us where we are.’

After Sunrise host David ‘Kochie’ Koch finished topping up his wine glass, he turned to the camera to say: ‘Hi, I’m Sam Mac from Channel Seven’s Sunrise and you’re watching… Sam Armytage’s Instagram video.’

Sitting on tables and chairs, they were seen on their phones and laptops with glasses of wine and a cheese board platter in view.

‘We’re in a conference room in Alice Spring and we are basically having a team meeting, aren’t we guys?’ he said, as Sam panned the room showing 13 crew members crammed in the small room.

‘Is that what you call it?’ Sam said, as prominent talent Natalie Barr, Edwina Bartholomew and Mark Beretta were also captured in the clip.

‘Hide you wine glasses!’ he joked.
