Sydney ice drug bust sees six arrested across several properties

Six people have been arrested including a grandmother, a grandfather, and a construction worker in a drug sting across Sydney’s southwest last week.

Kelly Grono, 40, is accused of supplying 0.19g of ice in Camden and allegedly had a further 8.4g of the drug on her.

Grandfather Mark Colduck, 64, and excavation worker Aaron Young, 25, have been charged with three counts each of supplying a small quantity of a prohibited drug and supplying a prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.

Colduck had worked in finance although experienced bad health in recent years. 

Police say the ice Grono had in her possession was 81 per cent pure and she has been charged with taking part in supplying a small quantity of a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited drug, and driving while disqualified.

Only last year Grono she had said on social media she wanted to get back into the workforce, maybe in a role helping the elderly or disabled. 

The three appeared in Campbelltown Local Court last week with none applying for bail and will appear again later this month.

Young was arrested by plain clothes police last week and charged with supplying 0.55g of methamphetamine over three separate deals on February 27, February 28, and March 2.
