Sydney Swans chairman smashes property records after snapping up $25million Mosman home

A waterfront mansion on Sydney’s North Shore has smashed local property records, after being snapped up by Sydney Swans chief executive Andrew Pridham.

Going under the hammer for a cool $25million, the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home in Mosman’s exclusive Golden Triangle is the most expensive home ever to be sold in the area.

But Mr Pridham doesn’t even plan to live in it – not yet anyway.

Despite being out of reach for most, the home's eventual price tag is a proportional bargain compared to the original $40million asked for in 2014

Instead, the investment banker and his wife Carolyn will remain at their current house in nearby Clifton Gardens as they decide whether or not to subdivide their new purchase, which conveniently sits on two titles.

Set on a spacious 2,400sqm parcel of land, the home has its own boatshed and ramp, heated swimming pool and championship-sized tennis court.

The three-level residence also boasts four formal and informal living areas, a media room and bar, a 90sqm master suite, internal lift, cellar and a commercial-grade kitchen.

It also features wraparound water views stretching from Middle Harbour and towards Clontarf.

Despite its seemingly unmatched facilities, the property was not an easy sell, remaining on the market for more than four years.

Situated just eight kilometres north of the CBD, the neighbourhood has long been a favourite for well-heeled buyers due to its boutique shopping strip, seemingly endless water views and proximity to some of Australia’s best schools.
