Taylor Swift surprises fans at Target by buying Reputation

Taylor Swift surprised shoppers at Target on Tuesday.

The pop sensation continued the custom of buying her new album at the mega-chain as she stopped by a Nashville location to pick up a copy of Reputation.

‘We have a tradition of going to Target to go buy the album so we’re gonna go do that,’ the 27-year-old said in her Instagram story.

Planning the surprise: Taylor Swift, 27,  surprised shoppers at Target on Tuesday

Taylor pulled up to the Target in White Bridge with a group of her girlfriends – some who performed as background dancers on her SNL performance.

The Black Space recorded the ladies dancing their way to the entrance as she captioned the video:  ‘A casual way to walk into Target’.

Once inside, it was only a matter of moments before the shoppers realized that the international superstar was in their midst.

And many of the onlookers happened to be lifelong fans as one girl began crying and made a phone call saying ‘I’ve loved Taylor since second grade’.

Another surprised patron said he was only there to pick up spaghetti sauce for dinner as he Facetimed his interaction with Taylor to his friends.

One young teen happened to have a photo of the two together when he met her at a concert years ago as he and Taylor exclaimed: ‘We were just babies!’

Taylor chatted with an adorable little girl who asked for her autograph. Taylor made sure to spell the diminutive fan’s name correctly.

Meanwhile, the fan theory which states her new song Dress is about Ed Sheeran has been shot down by the English songwriter himself.

Listeners believe the lyric ‘I don’t want you like a best friend’ is in regards to Ed who is a close acquaintance to Taylor.

She also croons the phrase ‘shape of you’ which happens to be the title of a recent pop hit for Ed.

However, another line disproves the theory as Ed discussed in an interview for an Augustman live stream.

‘I don’t think it is. I think if you read into it…it’s not… You know, because she mentions someone with a buzz-cut haircut, and I’ve never had a buzz-cut haircut,’ he said.

The fan speculations may have helped boost sales of Reputation as it has sold over 1 million copies in just four days.
