Taylor Swift: Troye Sivan reveals what the singer is really like

Troye Sivan has spoken out about American singer, Taylor Swift. 

The 22-year-old South African-born Australian singer and former Youtube sensation admitted the 28-year-old has ‘a lot of bad press’ around her, but he doesn’t understand why. 

Speaking to GQ Australia last week, Troye praised Taylor and said she’s been like a mentor to him when it comes to career guidance.

‘A lot of the bad press doesn’t make sense to me,’ Troye told the publication. 

The There For You singer said how ‘lovely’ Taylor is, adding that she is ‘super-kind and generous.’ 

‘Taylor Swift has always been really lovely to me – super-kind and generous,’ he said.

‘We have hung out only a couple of times, but she’s just been so open and forthcoming and answered all my questions, because I’m always really interested in what it’s like to be Taylor Swift.’

During the chat, Troye also gushed about working with singer Ariana Grande, who features on his new track, Dance To This. 

‘She’s a really good friend,’ Troye said.  

It seems Taylor has been supportive of Troye for years.

Shocked by the response he had received by the pop star, Troye responded with a misspelt tweet which read: ‘GUYS TAYLOR swift WHAT IS HAPPENING.’
