Tegan Martin flaunts her trim figure and washboard abs in skimpy orange bikini

She recently made headlines following claims she exaggerated her health qualifications.

But Australian model Tegan Martin seems to have bounced back from the scandal, and was spotted soaking up the sun at Redleaf beach in Sydney on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old showed off her fit physique in a tangerine-hued bikini, which revealed two circular-shaped marks on the small of her back, seemingly a result of  ‘cupping therapy’.

‘Cupping therapy’ is an ancient form of alternative medicine where cups are placed on the skin to create an intense suction.

The practise is believed to treat pain, inflammation and blood flow. It is also thought to help with cellulite and even induce weight loss.

Many celebrities are fans of the treatment, including Hollywood stars Gwyneth Paltrow,  Jennifer Aniston and Victoria Beckham.

During her trip to the beach this week, Tegan was seen grinning ear-to-ear as she strolled in the sand with a friend.

What is cupping therapy?

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine where a suction is created on the skin in order to loosen muscles and encourage blood flow.

Cupping is believed to offer other health benefits such as back and neck pain relief, anxiety, fatigue, cellulite treatment and weight loss.

It may be harmful to the epidermal, circulation and nervous system.

She was also spotted sitting on a surfboard in the water.

The outing comes after the blonde beauty was allegedly caught exaggerating her health qualifications in July.

The Daily Telegraph shared emails reportedly sent by Tegan to potential clients, where she claimed to have studied nutrition and have a health coaching certificate.

In the emails, Tegan allegedly claimed she studied at Sydney college Cadence Health and said her supposed coaching certificate is from American online alternative nutrition school IIN.

The former I’m A Celebrity contestant also told prospective clients that she can help them beat serious health problems including, ‘glandular fever, irritable bowel syndrome and depression,’ The Daily Telegraph reported.

However, when asked about the emails, the Sydney model reportedly told the publication that she has not completed any courses and is not certified.

And speaking to Woman’s Day in July, Tegan said: ‘All I’ve ever told people is about the health struggles I’ve had and how I improved my health greatly through alternative therapies.’
