The petite youth worker from Perth courageously opened up about her tragic past to OK!, last week.

‘Mum and Nan dying when I was younger and having to grow up without any parents (was the hardest thing),’ she said.

After overcoming the tragic loss of her mother to suicide at age 11, Brooke spent the rest of her upbringing living in fear of drug-fuelled violence.

However, she ultimately vowed to turn her harrowing experiences into something positive by helping others.

Brooke is currently one of the favourites on the show and is widely tipped to make the final four.
