WHAT TO DO

To tone your chest area, try chest flyes with a resistance band, says Nadya Fairweather (u-shape.co.uk). Loop the band around a stair banister, stand with it behind you and hold one end in each hand. Put one foot in front and keep your back straight.

Begin with your arms out in front, slightly bent and with elbows and wrists at shoulder height. Extend your arms forwards, without locking them straight, then return to the starting pose. Do five sets of ten, with a short break in between each set.

Stand closer or further from the anchor point to vary the resistance.

WHAT TO EAT

We all want a firmer decolletage, and what you eat can make a difference, says Shona Wilkinson (shonawilkinson.com).

Bone broth is great for tightening the skin and muscles here, as the simmering process causes the bones and ligaments to release collagen and amino acids.

And it is thought egg yolks have more muscle-building protein, calorie for calorie, than any other source — so eat plenty of omelettes.

Be liberal with olive oil, too, as it is full of monounsaturated fats, which help prevent muscle breakdown. Make sure you buy extra virgin, as it has added nutritional benefits.
