The Block’s Scott Cam reveals top ’12 sheds of Christmas’

We know him as the host of The Block.

And builder Scott Cam has just released a new book, on the Australian backyard staple, a shed.

The 55-year-old TV personality is busy promoting his new work, and wrote a blog post on his top ’12 sheds of Christmas,’ that failed to make his book.

He might be on The Block but he’s still your average bloke! Scott Cam reveals his top ’12 sheds of Christmas’ as he promotes his new book on the Australian backyard staple

Scott’s book is called Scotty’s Top Aussie Sheds – which features 20 of the best sheds around the country.

Scott said he was inspired to write the book because of how much he and the rest of Australia like sheds.

‘It’s no secret that I love my shed – so much so that I’ve got two of them! I love spending time in my sheds, sometimes doing absolutely zip,’ Scott said in a write up for the book.

He added: ‘Just having a beer, looking around, turning random things on and off, sanding a bit of timber for no reason.’

He said he wants to make sheds ‘loved again.’

In his blog post countdown, his favourite shed sitting at number one is simple, a small green shed in NSW that has the most organised tools you’ll ever see.

‘Just look at his tools and how beautifully arranged they are – can’t say the same about my own,’ Scott says about the owner, Trevor Kent.

Sitting at number nine, is a shed that features an abundance of items, including toy airplanes, toy cars, posters and a game area.

‘Number nine in my 12 Sheds of Xmas (sic) is a childhood dream come true. If you step in here you just might not come out again, as there’s too much to play around with,’ Scott wrote.

Scott first appeared in Backyard Blitz in 2000, and started hosting The Block in 2010.
