The most popular sneakers on Instagram with 5.7 million tags have been revealed

When it comes to fashion inspiration, while devotees of yesteryear might have flicked through magazines for the latest trends, today’s fans know it’s all about Instagram.

And as far as sneakers go, there is one pair that is earning some serious style kudos right now.

With more than 5.7 million tags on the platform, Adidas NMDs are the style that has come out on top, according to number crunching company Forward2Me.

At $200, they’re not cheap – but when you see the pastel-hued trainers on Instagram, it’s easy to see why they’re so popular.

Launched in December 2015, the sneakers come in a range of colours – including on-trend pastel pink, baby pink, black, white, blue and grey.

The shoes are the brainchild of Nic Galway, a veteran at Adidas and the man who helped to develop Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost line.

They feature a flattering chunky sole to help elongate legs and boast a comfortable, knitted body.

But not only this, but the NMDs also feature ‘today’s innovative technologies’ and have a ‘foot-hugging knit upper and the springy responsive feel of a Boost midsole’.

The Adidas Boost is one of the brand’s most popular pairs of trainers for athletic pursuits.
