Dress to… distress! Jennifer Lopez leads the worst-dressed stars at the 2019 Grammys in a BAFFLINGLY large hat – as other stars including Kylie Jenner miss the mark in an array of bizarre ensembles

- Janelle Monae, 33, Saint Heart, Tierra Whack, and Tayla Parx also landed themselves on the worst dressed list
- A cappella group Pentatonix also looked worse for wear as they arrived at the award ceremony

The Grammys always play host to some of award season’s most extravagant and ridiculous fashions, but this year may well have taken the cake as far as baffling sartorial choices.
From the inexplicably large shoulders on Janelle Monae’s unique dress to the Monsters Inc-esque ensemble worn by rapper Tierra Whack, there was no shortage of bizarre outfits on the red carpet at the glittering event.
But it was Jennifer Lopez who was perhaps the most surprising star to make an appearance on the worst dressed list; the 49-year-old singer and actress wore a pale blue sleeveless gown with an inexplicably large cowboy-style hat that almost completely covered her face, and left her looking like a character out of an old Western.
Going low: The 49-year-old’s hat was pulled down on her head below her eyebrows
Funky: Kylie Jenner’s outfit was rather confusing, with the star wearing what appeared to be a jumpsuit that also featured large gloves to cover her hands
Hand holding: The 21-year-old didn’t let the odd gloves stop her from holding hands with her beau Travis Scott
This little teapot: Cardi B looked like a character from a Disney cartoon in her bizarre ensemble, which featured a large pearl-encrusted top knot and what looked like an opening shell around her bodice
Woah: Cardi B’s sister Hennessy Carolina wore a very risque – and rather abrasive – orange tuxedo jacket with billowing puff sleeves that somewhat dwarfed her frame, while the incredibly high hemline made it look like she’d forgotten pants
Trend? Janelle Monae also wore a very large hat with her outfit – a dress that had confusingly large shoulders that hovered above her body as she walked the carpet
Up, up, and away! Saint Heart wore a butterfly-colored gown that featured actual wings, which she proudly showed off while posing on the red carpet and pulling them up for the photographers to see
Grrr… argh… Rapper Tierra Whack resembled a character from Monsters Inc in her multicolored furry coat, which she wore with an equally garish painted dress
Something different: Tayla Parx, 25, chose a dress that looked like it had been made from scraps of leftover fabric. She added a pair of colorful Converse to the look to finish it off
Bad in beige: Both Mimi Saballa (left) and Sibley Scoles (right) opted for sheer nude ensembles that left their underwear on full display and were incredibly unflattering on their figures
Train terror: Lele Pons also went for a nude number, however the over-the-top aspects of her look – including a lengthy train and bedazzled thigh-high boots – looked incredibly tacky, and made her stand out for all the wrong reasons
Retro: Ashanti’s dress was not unlike something that you might find at a costume store, or perhaps in the comforter section of Bed Bath and Beyond
Team effort: The members of a cappella group Pentatonix seemed to have coordinated their outfits, but unfortunately they all ended up looking equally terrible thanks to the bizarre mishmash of ensembles
Michaels called… Du Yen, seen posing with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, wore an incredibly odd outfit that could well have been made in a craft room at home using supplies from an art supply store
