Three children are fighting for life after horror crash injures eight including a pregnant mother

Three children and a pregnant woman are among eight people fighting for their lives after a serious car crash.

A Ford Sedan and a station wagon collided at a T-intersection in Kyabram, in Victoria’s north east, at 9.15pm on Sunday.

The cars were reportedly travelling in a 100km/h zone before they crashed.

‘Two adults and three children in the station wagon were all taken to hospital, the children were all airlifted to hospital with serious injuries,’ according to a Victoria Police statement. 

Ambulance Victoria told Daily Mail Australia paramedics arrived at 9.20pm after reports of a multi-vehicle collision on Webb Road in Kyabram.

The spokeswoman said six patients were rushed to hospital, including three children. 

She said a primary school-aged boy suffered from severe head and leg injuries and was flown to the The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.

An eight-year-old girl suffered serious head and pelvis injuries and a third boy is in a stable condition with facial injuries. 

One pregnant woman, 18, was taken to Bendigo Hospital with abdominal injuries. She has since given birth and the new-born has been taken to Melbourne in a stable condition.

A man, 43, was rushed to Shepparton Hospital with chest injuries and another woman, 34, is in a stable condition but did suffer a knee injury. 

Two 17-year-old girls from NSW, including the probationary driver, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating and drivers have been asked to avoid the area.
