Tiffiny Hall reveals the exercises that tone your back

There is nothing more uncomfortable than having excess fat bulging over your bra strap, and it’s becoming a common problem.

So former Biggest Loser trainer Tiffiny Hall has fashioned a number of exercises that will torch your overall body fat percentage and lean out your mid to back section.

‘My best advice would be to start with boxing. Because you can’t spot reduce fat you need to decrease your body fat percentage first,’ the 33-year-old told FEMAIL.

Former Biggest Loser trainer Tiffiny Hall (pictured) has fashioned a number of exercises that will torch your overall body fat percentage and lean out your mid to back section.

‘Boxing is a great way to build lean muscle mass and tone your entire body. You can do drills like jab-cross-punch and see how many you get done in a minute. Then try to beat that score each time.

‘You could also have a partner hold a pillow above your head and punch directly upwards for a minute at full intensity. If you’re on your knees while doing the exercise it will really work into your shoulders.’

Also just holding a regular push up position without doing the push up works your back, obliques, arms and core all in one go. To make it harder Tiffiny encourages those daring enough to try it to pick up one palm and touch your underarm, put it down, and repeat.

‘That rowing action really tones the chest. If you just train your back and not your chest as well you’ll actually end up with a hunchback. So do a push up against a wall or complete a chest press with a water bottle or heavy book to balance out your body,’ she explained.

She herself holds a one kilo container of rice to complete a chest press, meaning these types of routines don’t require bulky and expense equipment.

To complete the process you’ll need a good quality sports bra to show off that toned back – and also ensure your chest isn’t bouncing during those boxing manoeuvres.

'I also sew in the cups myself - just a few stitches either side - so you're not looking around for them in the wash every time,' she said (Tiffiny pictured with her mother)

‘I am in love with bras that zip up in the front. I’m still breastfeeding Arnold so it’s perfect for that but just in general it can be really hard to remove a standard bra when it’s wet,’ she said.

‘If I really want that extra support I’ll just wear two crops at once – one over the other – which is easy to do after they’ve been washed and stretched a few times.
