His new movie To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before has quickly become one of Netflix’s biggest hits of the summer.

But it’s not all good news for Israel Broussard, who is now apologizing for past remarks and likes he made on Twittert.

The 24-year-old actor Tweeted his apology on Tuesday night, after reports surfaced that he had made ‘inappropriate and insensitive’ comments on the social media network.

‘I am deeply sorry for my inappropriate and insensitive words and likes on social media,’ wrote The Bling Ring actor.

‘I take full responsibility for my actions and I sincerely apologize. This has been a pivotal life lesson for me. 

‘I am dedicated to becoming a more informed and educated version of myself. – Israel.’ 

Controversial tweets from Broussard included writing, ‘Black Lives matter has one goal. Division.’

He also liked a number of contentious posts, including one that suggested ‘the Sandy Hook massacre was “staged” to “traumatize” and “disarm the public,”’ reported Just Jared.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before premiered on Netflix on Friday August 17.

The film has been been met with positive reviews across the board, and currently holds a 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

The flick follows a teenage girl whose secret love letters are exposed and wreak havoc on her love life.

It stars Lana Condor as well as Noah Centineo, Trezzo Mahoro, and King Bach.
