Toddler is found wandering the streets alone in a Christmas t-shirt and a nappy shortly before 6am as hunt begins for his parents

A toddler wearing only a Christmas t-shirt and a nappy has been found wandering the streets alone in the early hours.

A search is under way to find the 18-month-old boy’s parents.

A man spotted the boy crossing the road on Kinghorne Street and Douglas Street in Nowra at 6am on Thursday. 

He is white with strawberry-blonde hair and blue eyes.

The little boy was taken to the Nowra police station while officers go door to door in the area where he was found an attempt to reunite him with his parents, The Illawarra Mercury reported.

But the boy’s parents have not been located and officers are preparing to widen their search.
