Tory MP Charlotte Leslie to star on Celebrity Big Brother

Kezia Dugdale

The former Scottish Labour leader appeared on this year’s series of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

She was voted out on Sunday night, after an eventful time on the show which included numerous arguments with boxer Amir Khan.

On her exit from the show, the Scottish politician declared she was ‘free at last’, as she insisted to show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly that she was ‘ready to go’ after 12 days in camp.

She did not reveal the exact fee she had been paid for appearing on the show, but boasted that it was ‘not in any sense small’.

George Galloway

The former Respect MP is famed for perhaps the most cringeworthy moment in Big Brother history, when he pretended to be a pussy cat.

During an awkward role-playing task with Rula Lenska on the 2006 series, the MP got down on his hands and knees and began to purr like a moggy.

Edwina Currie

Former Tory Health Minister Edwina Currie joined I’m A Celebrity in November 2014 and finished in fifth place.

She later warned serving politicians against appearing on reality TV, saying they should ‘stick to their job’ as elected representatives.

Currie was no longer an MP when she appeared on the ITV show, and went on to star on Strictly Come Dancing.
