A sex offender is being deported from Australia every second day under a crackdown on foreign criminals.

A staggering 31 sex offenders were sent packing in just the first two months of 2019, including 19 paedophiles.

A man who traveled the coast trying to pick up young girls in his campervan and a  60-year-old who sexually assaulted three young sisters were among those deported.

Foreign-born criminals and sex offenders are being forced to leave Australia and being sent back to the UK in record numbers

Child predator John Alexander Kenyon was caught trying to meet young girls and have sex with them in the back of his campervan.

Kenyon was on holiday in Australia from the UK, and was driving down the east coast from Cairns to Sydney, Channel Nine’s A Current Affair reported.

He planed to meet with a 13-year-old girl and take her into the back of his van to have sex.

He was unknowingly talking to an undercover police officer from the New South Wales Police Child Exploitation Unit and was arrested in Westmead.

Kenyon was sentenced to two years behind bars, but the sentence was suspended after just 16 months and he was immediately deported back to the UK.

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton said tough laws allowing the government to cancel visas of foreign-born criminals made Australia a safer place.

‘They can expect to leave our country as swiftly as I can cancel the visa and see them deported,’ Mr Dutton said.

Among other sex offences is 60-year-old Iain Hay who was convicted of sexually assaulting three young sisters.

He had become friends with their father before he committed his offences, one while the victim was asleep.

He served 14 months behind bars and he was immediately flown from Perth to the UK after his visa was cancelled.
