Trump praises book written about his campaign

The President took to Twitter Saturday morning to talk up a recently released book about his campaign, ‘Let Trump Be Trump.’

Trump promoted the essay that was released December 3 and written by his ex-campaign managers, Corey R. Lewandowski and David N. Bossie.

‘Congratulations to two great and hardworking guys, Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie, on the success of their just out book, ‘Let Trump Be Trump,’ he wrote to his social media page.

‘Finally people with real knowledge are writing about our wonderful and exciting campaign!’

However, the tell-all book, seen by The Washington Post, apparently also details some absurd and slightly salacious stories.

It read that Elton John music would be played so loudly on Trump’s campaign plane that staffers had trouble thinking.

The book dishes on Trump’s penchant for fast food and how timing his fast food orders – generally from McDonald’s – was a complex process.

An excerpt reads: ‘On Trump Force One there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza and Diet Coke.’

Also on board Trump’s campaign plane, were stockpiles of Vienna Fingers, potato chips, pretzels and Oreos.

The authors state that for dinner, Trump often had ‘two big Macs, two fillet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted’.

Another bizarre element of the book describes how Hope Hicks, now the White House Communications Director, was tasked with steaming Trump’s suit and pants – while he was wearing them.

Apparently, she once forgot her steaming machine, which prompted Trump to berate her.

‘G*dammit, Hope! How the hell could you forget the machine?’

Other fascinating passages describe Trump’s other expletive-filled tirades against subordinates who have displeased him.

One, Lewandowski recalls, was directed at Paul Manafort after the former campaign manager said that Trump should not appear on television anymore.

Trump apparently called Manafort from a helicopter to scream: ‘I’ll go on TV anytime I G*damn f***ing want and you won’t say another f***ing word about me.’

Trump apparently added: ‘I’m a pro at life. I’ve been around a time or two. I know guys like you, with your hair and skin.’

Thus far, the book received a 4.6 star rating average from Amazon buyers.
