Former Blue Peter presenter Anthea Turner has cut off contact with her sister in a family row about debt payments, it has been claimed.

The TV star is reported to have severed her relationship with Wendy Turner Webster and her husband Gary Webster, who starred in EastEnders.

It is alleged that she was forced to pay £5,000 in debt for the couple after they ran into difficulty paying rent for a home in West London.

A friend of Anthea Turner, 58, told The Sun on Sunday that the former GMTV host had decided ‘enough was enough’.

The source told the newspaper that she had ‘snapped’ and ‘severed all ties’ amid the family feud.

They said: ‘She has helped Wendy and Gary out endlessly over the years, and propped them up financially time and time again.’

It is reported she had acted as a guarantor for the couple and ended up having to pay after a county court ruling.

The unpaid debts apparently relate to an £850,000 home in West London.

MailOnline has contacted Turner’s representatives for comment.

As well as hosting Blue Peter and GMTV Anthea Turner has starred in Perfect Housewife and Celebrity Big Brother.

Wendy Turner Webster is a journalist and animal rights campaigner. Her husband Gary has appeared in EastEnders and The Bill.
