The days of asking your dad to drop you off around the corner from school may be well and truly behind us.

But parents still have a knack for being an embarrassment to grown-up children, as shown in a hilarious Twitter thread of gaffes posted in family WhatsApp chats.

One user was baffled when her mother posted an array of blurry images of her dog wearing a wig, while an alarmed woman revealed an ’emergency’ turned out to be pictures of her nephew throwing tupperware around the kitchen.
