Twitter users turn Kylie Jenner’s bump photos into memes

Twitter users have paid tribute to the many people, things, and concepts they find attractive in a series of hilarious memes inspired by Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy announcement.

Kylie, 20, gave birth to her daughter Stormi earlier this month and at the time of the announcement released an 11-minute video on YouTube chronicling her pregnancy, which she had kept secret.

Some social media users took screenshots of a specific moment that shows Kylie 24 weeks into her pregnancy, rubbing her hands on her baby bump and giving an update on camera.

Birth of a meme: While Kylie doesn't actually say the sentence in her pregnancy video, social media users found the combination of the two made for very funny memes

They then associated the sentence ‘Next thing I knew, I was pregnant’ with the images, even though Kylie doesn’t actually say it in the video.

The combination of the screenshots and catchphrase has turned into a series of funny memes that has enabled Twitter users to express their unreserved enthusiasm for, among other things, men with fresh haircuts, men in grey sweatpants, and the actor Daniel Kaluuya.

Some of the memes consist of a tweet describing a particularly pleasant situation, such as someone saying ‘Hey I’m stopping to get some food do u want anything?’ paired with a screenshot of Kylie with ‘Next thing I knew, I was pregnant’ written across it.

One person posted a couple of Kylie pictures along with the sentence: ‘When they ignored you all day and you get that “hey baby” text’, capturing the excitement of a long-awaited message.

Someone else indicated the baby bump photo was an accurate representation of what happened to them after they googled the name of the actor Mark Ruffalo.

Another person simply posted Kylie’s picture next to an image of Saoirse Ronan, thus voicing their appreciation for the Irish-American actress.

As the memes evolved, some people started simply posting the sentence ‘Next thing I knew, I was pregnant’ without the screen grabs from Kylie’s videos, simply sharing a photo of a person or a thing that pleases them.

Someone tweeted the catchphrase next to a gif of a delicious-looking mozzarella stick getting dipped in marinara.
