Two suspects in execution of Subway franchisee and wife

Police released surveillance photos of two people suspected in the execution of a Texas couple.

In chilling footage captured from outside Bao and Jenny Lam’s home in Spring last Thursday evening, two males are seen parking a black Lincoln Navigator SUV in the pair’s driveway as they peer around the property.

The two suspects are then seen crawling underneath the gate before entering the home.

Bao, a Subway franchisee, and his wife, both 61, had not been seen or heard from since Thursday – which prompted concern from their children.

The couple’s adult son, Richard, called police Saturday to conduct a welfare check on his parents when he hadn’t heard from them in two days.

Police broke into the two-story home around 9pm and found the couple bound and shot dead on the first floor.

The surveillance footage proved the pair arrived home less than a half hour after the two men entered, and ambushed the Lams in their garage before they were bound and murdered.

The home – located in the gated Northgate Country Club community – was ransacked, with firearms, jewels and other valuable items missing.

‘Everything was disturbed,’ said Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told KTRK.

‘Furniture was overturned, drawers were opened. It will take some time to process the scene.’

Police also found the couple’s gray Porsche Panamera Sunday in a barren parking area on FM 1960 Road.

A source told KTRK the double murder does not appear to be random, and that the couple was likely targeted.

Police also believe there may be other suspects involved in the deadly attack.

It’s unclear if the crime was perhaps motivated by money; Mr Lam was the owner of six Subway sandwich shops in the Houston area.

‘It’s very scary. That’s why I am worried right now,’ one neighbor said. ‘You don’t know what is going on next door.’

Police are hopeful that surveillance photos from in the neighborhood will help them nab the persons responsible.

Both pictured suspects appeared to be wearing sweats, while the man who got out of the passenger’s seat was ‘unusually tall,’ police said.

Anyone with information on the double murder is being asked to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-274-9100 or CrimeStoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
