Urban Dictionary has been forced to delete racist definitions of what an Aboriginal person is.
The website, which features user-submitted definitions for slang words, was home to a string of vile, and abusive descriptions of what an Aboriginal person was.
The racist definitions, which described Aboriginal people as ‘filthy black humans’ and ‘smelly pr***s’ were wiped from the site on Thursday following an online campaign.
The top rated definition on the site described Aboriginal people as ‘filthy black humans’
Until Thursday, the top definition for ‘Aboriginal’ was ‘filthy black humans who inhabit Australia, abuse drugs and alcohol, sniff petrol and any other chemical they can get their hands on’.
‘Thieving anything they can carry, and bash and rob old people or those who can’t defend themselves,’ it said.
‘They hang around outside bottle shops and the TAB like parasites, waiting for an opportunity to ask people for money, mug someone and take their grog or break into the cars in the carpark.’
The post, which was on the website for eight years, went on to claim no Indigenous Australian worked for their money.
‘They do not work, they don’t need to as the government give them money every fortnight for doing nothing. They’re not required to look for work, because they’re f*****g special. Who would employ the smelly pr***s anyway?’
The definition was at the top of the page because it received the most up votes out of all submissions.

A campaign to remove racist definitions from Urban Dictionary was created earlier this week by the Blackfulla Revolution Facebook page (Aboriginal flag pictured)
The post had more than 300 votes, and was therefore the first thing people saw when they clicked on the site.
A campaign to remove racist definitions from Urban Dictionary was created earlier this week by the Blackfulla Revolution Facebook page.
The page urged its followers to protest the appropriateness of the definitions.
The page also asked followers to submit new definitions to replace the old.
The campaign garnered more than 7,000 signatures in less than a week.
The petition described the definitions as ‘hurtful and dangerous’ and called for the owners of the site to pull them down.
‘The Indigenous race of Australia who have cared for the last for the past 60,000 plus years,’ the new top rated definition read
In response to the backlash, the site deleted the racist definitions on Thursday.
They were replaced with definitions written in the past week, describing Aboriginal people as ‘survivors’.
‘The Indigenous race of Australia who have cared for the last for the past 60,000 plus years and maintained the environment in pristine condition until a bunch of greedy English Aristocrats decided to dump their unwanted humans here,’ the top definition now says.
‘Somehow the Aboriginals have managed to survive military onslaught and massacres as well as deliberate poisoning and even testing of nuclear weapons.
‘Today the Aboriginal race is thriving again and asserting their rights, much to the dislike of the colonial overlords and their red-neck descendants.’
