Victoria Beckham gifts beloved daughter with female book

On Friday, the Spice Girls reunited for the first time in six years.

During the reunion, Victoria Beckham was the first member to share a snap from the joyous meeting at Geri Horner’s home, in which the coffee table was littered with glasses of Prosecco, a Union Jack mug and Brit Awards in the background.

Alongside in the image was a number of copies of Kate T.Parker’s empowering tome Strong Is the New Pretty. A day later, ‘Posh Spice’ took to Instagram to share a copy of the book and revealed she had gifted the book to her only daughter, Harper, six.

Strong Is The New Pretty is a photo book which is made up of a slew of pictures displaying fierce and joyful girls to celebrate what it means to be strong.

Kate’s book, inspired by the popular photo project of the same title that went viral in 2015, celebrates women’s imperfections and beauty in their chaotic, authentic lives.

There were at least two copies of the photo book set out on the coffee table to inspire the singers to champion girl power.

The star-studded five-piece toasted to their reunion with a bottle of Prosecco, which retails for as little as £7 in some supermarkets.

It may come as a surprise as sophisticated fashion icon Victoria recently shared a picture of herself drinking a glass of £2,500 wine.

The footballer’s wife seemingly turned her nose up at the cheap stuff during a recent interview on This Morning.

But David revealed to ES magazine that while his wife might often be considered the epitome of sophistication, she actually had a penchant for cheap wine until he introduced her to the good stuff.

He confessed: ‘Victoria didn’t really drink wine up until very recently so she has all of a sudden discovered my passion.

‘Well she went through a stage of drinking a nice Blue Nun and a little bit of Lambrusco, but now it’s changed.

‘I’ve introduced her to good, decent wine. I love Californian reds. I love the buttery-ness of Burgundy. Montrachet, I love. Cheval Blanc is one of my favourites.’

Budget shoppers will no doubt be aware that a bottle of Lambrusco will set you back an exceedingly modest £2.50 while a bottle of white Blue Nun goes for £5.00.

Emma Bunton, 42, and Victoria were both only pictured leaving the property, leaving their fans guessing for hours whether or not they were present.

Following the meeting, The Spice Girls released a statement to MailOnline that read: ‘We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls.’

Victoria, Geri Horner, 45, Mel C, 44, Emma Bunton, 42, and Mel B struck their best poses for the five-piece picture.

But Victoria and Geri are said to be reunited to commit to a ‘fully-fledged tour’ due to their family commitments.
