Video reveals moment man survives devastating 100ft fall

Being defiantly lucky can still be extremely painful.

And thrill seeker Landon Dirnberger found that out the hard way when he suffered a near-fatal fall from Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona, back in 2016.

But all of a sudden, something goes terribly wrong, and he crashes along the side of the mountain. 

‘When the parachute opened, it opened 180 degrees so instead of flying away from the cliff, I was flying towards the cliff and didn’t have time to turn right or left,’ he said to AZ Family.

‘There are 100 different reasons that could have happened. Something wasn’t right and I flew straight into the cliff and fell to the ground.’

As a result, Dirnberger suffered two broken feet, shattered heels, a fractured pelvis and an assortment of other bruises.

But the jumper, who has done more than 250 others brave stunts, doesn't feel dissuaded from doing any more

He added: ‘I’d rather be jumping than sitting in the hospital.

‘I’m not saying I’m going to break out of the hospital and go jumping. When I am better, I’ll go.’ 

Dirnbeger was taken to Honor Health’s Scottsdale-Osborn Medical Center where he was taken to surgery.
