The ‘window frame’ turns out to be the handle of a plastic bottle – filmed on the ground in the Turkish countryside.

Ms Akalin, from Izmir, described the inspiration behind the video, saying: ‘I had seen a video of someone doing something similar, it was a very funny video so I wanted to give it a go.

‘I posted the video online originally not really expecting much – but then it started getting a lot of attention.’

The post has now been liked more than 56,000 times and received hundreds of comments – many of which outline how unexpected the illusion was.

‘I am surprised that so many people liked the video. It was meant to be just a simple joke,’ said Ms Akalin.

‘All I did was tell people to wait until the end of the video for a surprise.’

As Ms Akalin pans out it emerges that the footage was not taken from the plush airliner you imagined, but was in actual fact filmed through the handle of a plastic bottle
