Waleed Aly slams Kylie Jenner on The Project

He’s the star of The Project who, last month, took aim at Kim Kardashian after she pleaded with US President Donald Trump to get a drug offending grandmother freed.

And Waleed Aly had his sights firmly set on the reality TV clan again on Thursday when he slammed Kylie Jenner after she made the cover of Forbes Magazine.

The 20-year-old model and entrepreneur featured in the US business magazine as part of its 60 richest self-made women feature.

The 39-year-old Logie winner vented his frustration at the respected publication for claiming that Kylie is set to become the ‘youngest-ever self-made billionarie,’ by the time she celebrates her 21st birthday next month.

Waleed took issue with the fact that it was claimed Kylie started her ’empire’ from nothing.

‘So, in what way is she self made?’ Waleed asked the panel. ‘She didn’t have a lemonade stall somewhere ad build it up.’

Co-host Tommy Little attempted to come to Kylie’s defense, arguing that Waleed had a problem with her inclusion in the feature due to her young years.

Waleed hit back: ‘That’s not why I’m knocking her down. I’m knocking her down because she is part of an empire that doesn’t do anything.’

‘Well, they make money,’ Tommy replied succinctly.

Kylie featured in Forbes, again in 2017, on its Celebrity 100 list, making her the youngest person to ever be included.

Waleed found himself at odds with the Kardashian/Jenner clan again, last month when he took aim at Kim for pleading with US President Donald Trump to get a drug offending grandmother freed.

The US reality sensation met with the Commander-In-Chief week to ask him to give Alice Marie Johnson, 64, a presidential pardon – which he granted.

‘She’s actually achieved nothing,’ Waleed fumed. ‘She’s achieved something for one person in one case. I reckon this is awful.’
