Where to get the best burgers in Australia from salmon caviar to wallaby rump and triple bacon

TripAdvisor has long been the fount of all knowledge when it comes to holidays, eating out and entertainment.

The travel advisory platform recently conducted a poll to determine which restaurants are serving up the best burgers in Australia.

‘We analysed feedback from international and local diners on TripAdvisor to narrow down this definitive list of the best burger restaurants in Australia,’ said TripAdvisor Communications Director Janice Lee Fang.

From a plate of mini-patties dressed with salmon caviar and old school cheeseburgers to a portion of wallaby rump and the $35 ‘All In’ triple bacon, FEMAIL investigated what exactly is on offer in the burger world down under.

The Grand Trailer Park Taverna in Melbourne is famous for its gravity defying, mouthwatering creations and took 4th place in the TripAdvisor poll

1. Dulcie’s Cottage, Merimbula, New South Wales

Dulcie’s Cottage in the coastal town of Merimbula nabbed the top spot in the TripAdvisor poll with a 4.5/5 rating, with reviewers saying ‘burgers were delicious and the chips were great too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A very relaxed atmosphere! Highly recommend’.
