Which celebrities voted no for same-sex marriage?

Upon hearing the ‘yes’ result of Australia’s same-sex marriage postal survey on Wednesday, celebrities flooded to social media to express their excitement.

But while many couldn’t hold back when it came to voicing their approval of the win for marriage equality, some stars were decidedly more reserved.

Standing out from the crowd were the celebrities who avoided the historic vote on social media altogether as they kept quiet or shared unrelated posts, leaving followers wondering which boxed they ticked.

Staying silent: On Wednesday, Roxy Jacenko (pictured) was among the celebrities who avoided sharing their views about the same-sex marriage postal survey result on social media

From Roxy Jacenko and Nadia Bartel who flaunted new iPhones and lavish holidays to Skye Wheatley who was more focused on busty selfies to Israel Folau who stayed silent after previously sharing his intention to vote no,  Daily Mail Australia takes a look at the stars who are yet to weigh in.

She’s seemingly never far from her Instagram account for long.

And on Wednesday,  Roxy’s  social media account was a flood of activity with posts featured her workout routine, her adorable kids Pixie, six and Hunter, three, and delivery of a brand-new iPhone X.

Not making the cut in the extensive number of uploads however, was any mention of which way the Sweaty Betty founder voted.

But the stylish PR queen seemingly has bigger things in mind and told Daily Mail Australia that her support will be made abundantly clear with an installation popping up on the Sweaty Betty building facade on Thursday.

‘It’s a wonderful result and about time Australia,’ Roxy said.

Iggy Azalea

She’s the Australia rapper who found fame internationally and has previously been outspoken about her sexuality.

However, Iggy Azalea has yet to indicate her support – or her disapproval – about her home country overwhelming voting  ‘yes’.

Her last Instagram post shows the rapper posing on a bed dressed in just a white T-shirt.

Skye Wheatley

Former Big Brother star Skye Wheatley is certainly not shy when it involves showing off her surgically enhanced body.

In a deluge of posts to her account on Wednesday, the scantily clad stunner flaunted her ample assets and pert posterior in barely there attire.

While she showed off much of her body, the blonde beauty seemingly didn’t feel the need to make her thoughts on the marriage equality vote as public.

Israel Folau

In September, Wallabies star Israel Folau was subjected to abuse after declaring on Twitter that he planned to vote ‘no’.

‘I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions, but personally, I will not support gay marriage,’ he tweeted at the time.

Perhaps still recalling the backlash in mind, the sportsman was noticeably silent on social media after the results, which favoured the opposing view, were read.

Nadia Bartel

She’s the glamorous AFL WAG who regularly documents snippets of her lavish lifestyle.

This week Nadia Bartel shared posts of herself enjoying a very lush holiday in the Maldives but didn’t comment via the social media platform on the vote making news back home.

Explaining the lack of posts, Nadia told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday all was not what it seems.

‘I am away in holidays with limited access to wifi that’s why I haven’t posted but of course I fully support marriage equality,’ Nadia said.

‘Love is love and I think the news is incredible! My only question is why this didn’t happen sooner.’

Veronicas’ star Lisa has not held back on her wholehearted support for same-sex marriage and the ‘yes’ result.

But amid the celebrations, her sister Jess’ girlfriend Ruby Rose took to Twitter to criticise the veracity of her support.

‘So glad to see Lisa Origliasso screaming in excitement about the yes vote after telling us she thinks we should feel ‘lucky’ we don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries and to get over it a few months ago,’ Ruby tweeted before swiftly deleting it.
