Why Sydney’s ‘Pyrmont Pooper’ repeatedly defecated outside a bottle shop and got caught on CCTV

A psychologist has weighed in on the ‘Pyrmont Pooper’ and why people choose to defecate on the street after two high-profile incidents have occurred in recent times.

On Tuesday, a blonde woman dressed in active wear was caught on CCTV defecating outside a bottle shop in Sydney.

The shocking incident – which made headlines on Friday – came after notorious ‘Poo Jogger,’ Andrew Macintosh, was outed in May for repeatedly emptying his bowels outside a Brisbane apartment block.

Tim Watson-Munro, a criminal psychologist, claims the incidents are indicative of a rare psychological condition, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The ‘Pyrmont Pooper’ made headlines on Friday after CCTV footage from Tuesday showed a blonde woman dressed in active wear defecating outside a bottle shop (pictured)

‘For some people its’ a sexual thing they’re excited by the danger — it’s the high end of the spectrum for exhibitionism,’ he said.

‘In this case, I think it’s exhibitionism: she’s taking toilet paper, so there’s a degree of planning and doing it under full view of a camera.’

Watson-Munro said that other explanations for the actions could relate to anger and taking revenge against the business.

Research from a 2012 US study published in the National Library of Medicine Institutes of Health found that the a person’s need to defecate can be increased by running due to muscular movements and hormone surges.

Phil Pembroke, the manager of Porter’s Liquor in Pyrmont, Sydney, initially thought a large dog was responsible for the fecal matter repeatedly left at his doorstep.

After checking CCTV footage, Mr Pembroke said he was gobsmacked to discover who the real culprit was.

‘She didn’t fit the stereotype of someone who would do this — she’s a fit, attractive lady, not a junkie or a homeless person.’

Mr Pembroke said a number of other deposits had been found, similarly placed, in recent weeks.

He claims that a normal person who was in desperate need to release would choose a more discreet location than in the middle of a driveway, in the full view of the camera.

The woman, who did not want to be identified, told the Daily Telegraph that she was suffering from a medical condition and was unable to control her bowels.

Despite this, psychologist Watson-Munro claims that sufferers with bowel problems make sure that these situations do not occur.

Jim Schwilk, the licencee of the establishment, told Daily Mail Australia he and his staff were all amazed by the incident, which first occurred on Tuesday.

‘We are shocked and dismayed that someone would be in the position to do that,’ Mr Schwilk said.

‘It was somewhat out of character for someone in the area to do something like that.’

Mr Schwilk said they were ‘concerned on the woman’s behalf’ and hoped she stopped excreting on their property.

‘We would like this young lady to desist with what she’s doing,’ he said.

‘As long as she desists her habits we won’t take it any further.’
