In a similar way it took just eight weeks for makeup artist Lisa Cathcart to see a major difference in her melasma (sun damage) and skin pigmentation.

‘I had tried every product under the sun and didn’t want my closest friends to see me without a tonne of concealer and foundation on,’ Lisa said.

With her wedding coming up, Lisa decided to try the collection in a last bid effort to have clearer skin – and was very surprised by the results.

She relied on the Bright Star brightening cream ($158) and Next Level ($138) triple vitamin C serum to clear up her problem areas.

Vitamin C is renowned for fighting the signs of ageing and alleviating any congestion you might have.

What should you look for when choosing skincare products?

Vitamins for the skin are common active ingredients. The three most well-known and powerful active ingredients for the skin are vitamin A, B and C.

Vitamin A increases the rate of mitosis or cell regeneration and is the best anti-ageing ingredient on the market to date, helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Vitamin B (nicinamde) promotes cell repair and hydration.

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant protecting against cell damage and aids in collagen building.

For dull and dry skin the go-to active ingredients to look for would be Vitamin B for hydration and cell repair, Vitamin A for increasing cell turnover and natural desquamation, Vitamin C for brightness and finally hyaluronic acid to increase water content on the skin.

For congestion the go-to active ingredients would be Vitamin A for increasing cell turnover and natural desquamation, BHAs to dissolve blackhead build up, and a product with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to destroy the presence of the p.acnes bacteria.
