Woman killed after she fell from truck and was hit by another car

  • Sarah Jensen, 29, was killed on Friday after she fell from a moving truck in Iowa 
  • She was a passenger in a Chevrolet truck driven by her husband Joshua Jensen
  • After falling from the truck, Sarah Jensen was struck by an oncoming vehicle 
  • She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead  

An Iowa woman was killed Friday after she fell from a moving truck and was hit by an oncoming car. 

Sarah Jensen, 29, of Newell, was a passenger in a 2006 Chevrolet truck driven by her husband, Joshua Jensen, 31.  

According to Iowa State Patrol, the two were driving northbound on Highway 169 around 8.44pm when the incident occurred.

Sarah Jensen fell out of the truck and was hit by a car behind them. 

Cynthia Andrews, 31, from Joplin, Missouri, was driving a 2010 Mazda that struck Jensen.

According to authorities, Jensen was not wearing her seat belt. The other two drivers were uninjured, according to the report.

Jensen was transported to Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge where she was pronounced dead. It’s unclear how or why Jensen fell from the truck. 

Webster County Sheriff’s Deputy Amy Stringer said the incident remains under investigation. 

A request for comment to Iowa State Patrol was not immediately returned to DailyMail.com.
