Woman shares hilarious behind the scenes aftermath of her glamorous skating action shot

The price of the perfect selfie: Instagram model takes a snap of herself as she skates down a hill – but you won’t believe what happened next

  • A young woman has shared a behind-the-scenes look at a selfie gone wrong
  • Avid skateboarder Natalie Hintze took to an idyllic reserve for the perfect shot
  • Disaster struck soon after she took the photo, as she fell in spectacular fashion

An avid skateboarder and Instagram influencer has shared the lengths she goes to for the perfect selfie.

Natalie Hintze and a friend took to the idyllic Terrigal Skillion reserve, north of Sydney, in search of some scenery shots for their social media accounts on Sunday.

But behind every glamorous action shot is the risk that something might go wrong – a lesson the self-confessed ‘adventure addict’ learnt the hard way.

Instagram influencer Natalie Hintze managed this skating selfie, taken seconds before disaster

Skating down the hillside footpath with a friend safely filming from above, Hintze extended a GoPro camera to take a selfie.

Her action shot was successful, resulting in a bikini-clad selfie of herself smiling on her longboard.

But her smile didn’t last long as she fell off her board at the bottom of the hill after suffering ‘death wobbles’ while going down the slope.

Her co-camerawoman, Tiffany Bernical, captured the carnage on video and later uploaded it to Hintze’s Instagram story under the caption: ‘Stack city.’

In a mess of flailing arms and legs, Hintze falls off her board and onto the concrete, but fortunately she snapped a glamorous photo for her thousands of followers first.

The smiling photo of herself still upright was uploaded about an hour before she shared the video, accompanied by the words: ‘It was at that exact moment.. I knew I’d f**ked up.’

Fortunately for the young woman, her injuries aren’t too bad and she can look back on the accident and laugh.

‘It gets a little funnier every time I see it,’ she wrote back to a well-wisher.

‘Thank you lovely, just nursing a locked jaw and a few grazes.’
