WWE star Paige ‘will never wrestle again’ after injury

British wrestling star Paige is reportedly ‘done’ after an injury has left her unable to compete in the ring again

WWE wrestler Paige will never be able to compete in the ring again, according to insiders.

The wrestling star fell to the floor when she was kicked in the back by competitor Sasha Banks last month during a six woman tag team in Long Island, New York.

Sources told PWInsider that the young talent is ‘done’.

The 25-year-old was thought to have received a ‘stinger’, which is where an injury to the head or neck can lead shooting pains.

Paige was examined by medics before she left the match.

Paige was named as a competitor in the first women’s Royal Rumble in Philadelphia later this month.

Last year, Paige, who’s real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis, suffered stress-induced anorexia and baldness after her sex tape was leaked.

The British WWE star – from Norwich in England – spoke of her horror at having her privacy intruded upon in such a devastating fashion.

She explained: ‘That scarred me. People invading my privacy, to the point where sometimes I don’t want to go out.’

Speaking on the Chasing Glory With Lilian Garcia podcast, she went on: ‘When they came out I barricaded myself in the house for a couple of months. I was so sad to the point I was contemplating suicide.’

The star also recounted a particularly upsetting recent encounter.

‘I was out yesterday with my friend,’ she said. ‘We were just sitting there having a Bloody Mary. This guy comes up to my friend and says, “That’s the porn star”.’

She then wept and added: ‘I cried in the toilet. I find it really hard to be close to anybody.’

She admitted on the podcast that she violated the WWE's 'Wellness Policy' last year because of illegal drugs

Paige not only had the sex tape stolen but also received two WWE suspensions and was forced to undergo neck surgery.

She admitted on the podcast that she violated the competition’s ‘Wellness Policy’ in 2016 because of illegal drugs.

The star explained she was ‘young and dumb’ but did not want to be condemned forever because of her mistakes.

She also discussed at length her lowest point.

‘I was on the floor, I was so low – I got so skinny I ended up collapsing with exhaustion in hospital in England,’ she recalled.

‘They told me at the time it was like stress-induced anorexia. I wasn’t eating, I wasn’t sleeping, I lost all my hair. I have clippings now, but I literally have no hair because my hair fell out. Because I was so stressed.

‘It just broke my heart. I was like, “Why would someone want to do that to someone?”‘

In 2016 she was suspended for 30 days and then 60 days for using illegal drugs, which she then denied.

But the WWE later contradicted her claim that she was actually taking prescription drugs.

On the podcast, however, she explained she simply did not know what to do after she was suspended and never expected the competition to follow up on her denial.
