‘You don’t look like the face of domestic violence’: Pregnant Zoe Marshall reveals she’s had an outpouring of support from women after revealing she thought she would die in an abusive relationship

‘The number of women who came forward and said “Thank you for saying this, I’m still in this position, I’m not ready to speak out, but I will be,” was incredible,’ Zoe told The Daily Telegraph.

‘Another came forward and said “my niece was killed as a result of domestic violence, you needed to speak out, you don’t look like the face of DV, I think that’s really poignant,’ she said.

Zoe previously told the publication about her experience of domestic violence, saying she thought she was going to die at the hands of her ex-partner.

She said she had her head was smashed against a wall and she contemplated suicide.

‘I had moments where I thought “I’m going to die”,’ she said.

Zoe said she was dragged across the floor by her hair and even had her head split open.

Despite thinking about ending her life she clawed her way back, but ended up crashing her car while trying to escape.

‘I was so shocked I fell on the floor crying,’ Zoe told Woman’s Day about the moment she found out they were expecting, which was on her birthday.

The brunette beauty and radio host added that her battle with stage-four endometriosis was the reason they struggled to conceive for so long.

She told the publication she was worried that they would never fall pregnant.

‘We always knew we wanted a baby, so living with that uncertainty was tough,’ she said.

The pair married in 2013, tying the knot with a lavish ceremony in Byron Bay.
