£105m lotto couple are STILL in their three-bed terrace after four months – but have their eye on a dream four-bed place around the corner

  • Steve Thomson, 42, and his wife Lenka, 41, became the ninth-biggest winners in history with their gigantic prize last year
  • Despite getting the huge cash-windfall the couple, are still in the same £120,000 terraced home in the village of Selsey in West Sussex
  • It is understood the couple have decided they finally want to upgrade to a four bedroom property

A couple who won £105million in the Euromillions are still living in their three-bed terrace house four months later.

Steve Thomson, 42, and his wife Lenka, 41, became the ninth-biggest winners in history with their gigantic prize last year.

Despite getting the huge cash-windfall the couple, who have two sons and a daughter, are still living in the same £120,000 terraced home in the village of Selsey in West Sussex, as reported by The Sun.

It is understood the couple decided they want to upgrade to a four bedroom property, but friends have said they are determined not to buy a ‘flash’ home.

One friend told the newspaper: ‘They’re looking for a new home but they say they don’t want anything too flash.

‘They’re such a down-to-earth family, real gems, and they could buy a palace if they wanted to but they have said they want to stay in Selsey.

‘Their only priority was to get a bedroom for each of their kids.’

Mr Thomson’s wife Lenka met her husband while working at a campsite 17 years ago, tying the knot four years later.

He previously promised to help the local community with the winnings.

Self-employed builder Mr Thomson is understood to have quit working after honouring all the customers that had booked with him prior to his win.

A neighbour of the family, Ellie Wood, 42, previously said: ‘Steve and his wife are salt of the earth. I’m not shocked that Steve is continuing to finish off jobs he had on his books – that’s just the type of guy he is. He’d never leave anyone in the lurch.’

The father-of-three only realised he had won as he waited to be picked up for work three days after the draw was made.

He said: ‘I am not sure I even looked at the first two lines, the third one just jumped out and I could instantly tell they all matched. I started shaking a lot. I knew it was a really big win but didn’t know what to do.

‘I went out to my van, walked back in, thought about knocking on a neighbour’s door, went back to the van – I think I was on the verge of having a heart attack.’

He said his parents refused to believe he had scooped the jackpot, telling him: ‘We’ll believe it when we see it.’

Mr Thomson added: ‘Now they believe it.’

The couple declined to give a comment to The Sun.
