19-year-old ‘held hostage, seriously assaulted’ for days

A teenage girl was allegedly held captive and assaulted at a home near Logan City for three days.

Police say on Monday, she was threatened at another location and then was driven to an address at Clearview Street, Waterford West, where she was allegedly held and assaulted by the 40-year-old female occupant of the house.

On Wednesday night, police went to the home on other matters, where both women were found, along with two children and others.

The teenage girl, who knew her alleged kidnapper, was found tied up in the bedroom, with injuries police believe were consistent to a serious assault.

Detective Inspector Tod Reid told reporters on Thursday she was found with ‘bruising, abrasions, lacerations and some burns to various parts of her torso and face’.

A 19-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and seriously assaulted over the course of three days in a suburb near Brisbane by another woman, 40, in the woman’s home (pictured)

‘Monday morning she was brought here against her will and held here [in the 40-year-old’s home] for that three day period,’ he said.

Police say it appears the teenager was given food and water over the three day ordeal.

The teenager, 19, was taken to hospital for serious injuries sustained during her ordeal.

Her alleged kidnapper has been charged with one count each of kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, torture and fail to appear in accordance with an undertaking.

She will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court later today.

The two children found in the home have been ‘relocated’, police said, and officers are investigating if any other people played a role in the teenage girl’s kidnapping.

Investigations are continuing.

More to come.
