The Bio-Oil product is a hydrating gel moisturiser that has the moisturising benefits of an oil paired with the absorption of a gel.

Sharing a video of the product to Instagram, she wrote: ‘Hydration for the nation!

She also said that it had given her the ‘confidence’ to ‘love the skin I’m in’ and that she’d added it to her morning and night routine.

The Voice presenter then proceeded to lather the gel on her arms, legs and chest in an effort demonstrate the gel’s capabilities.

The star also admitted that it was a paid post and an advertisement, so it’s unclear if she’s a regular user of the product or not.

Last year, the Australian television star and mum-of-one gave FEMAIL a sneak peek behind the doors of her beauty cabinet, which features prominently Australian products.

The most important part of Sonia’s skincare ritual starts at the end of her working day when she begins the ‘mission’ of removing her make up.

The TV personality said she starts with Neutrogena’s oil free eye make up remover before cleaning her skin again with Bioderma’s Micellar Water.

She then uses Neutrogena’s Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover before finishing off with The Deep Cleanse by Tatcha and slathering on a moisturiser..

‘I will also use the Three Warriors Tasmanian sand scrub to take off excess body makeup and fake tan,’ she added.

If she has worked the night before she always cleanses when she wakes up.

‘I like to use Medik8 calm wise soothing cleanser as it’s gentle on my skin but leaves me feeling fresh,’ she said.

She then applies moisturiser including the QV Face moisturising day cream which is SPF 30 and a tinted moisturiser – she says she likes to splurge here with her favourite product being the $172 Rationale tinted serum which has an SPF 50.

When she isn’t working, Sonia prefers to keep things simple and give her skin a break by ‘keeping things pretty minimal’.

The presenter, who grew up in Toowoomba, Queensland, also likes to maintain a beautiful golden tan – without damaging her skin – so needs to touch up her fake tan every few days.

‘I use Three Warriors tanning mousse. It’s actually really easy and I love that it’s organic and chemical free, as well as the Three Warriors face tan aqua mist as it contains olive oil and gives me a bit of a glow in next to no time,’ she said.

‘In my 20s I wasn’t as disciplined as I should have been with sunscreen. However, now, more than ever I have realised how important it is to nourish, hydrate and illuminate my skin in a way that’s as natural as possible.

‘I was drawn to Three Warriors because it contains plant-based ingredients like aloe vera and olive oil that work to hydrate the skin while also giving you a sun-kissed glow,’ she said.

Sonia says her mother has amazing skin – and she credits her luck in that department to those genetics.

‘In my 20s and 30s I really didn’t do much at all,’ she revealed.

‘But in the last 10 years I’ve really tried harder to take care of my skin. I always wear a hat, try to stay out of the sun and keep hydrated.’

‘Your skin really shows how healthy you are from the inside out. I also want to set a good example for my six-year-old daughter Maggie on the importance of sunscreen and protecting ourselves from the Aussie sun.’

The busy mum also exercises regularly – to keep her body fit and healthy but also because she believes sweating out toxins is good for the skin.

‘I try to work up a sweat dancing a few times a week as part of my Strictly You online dance platform,’ she said.
