Embattled Southern Cross Austereo’s 2Day FM breakfast show Em, Grant & Ed has suffered a tumble in the latest Sydney FM radio ratings.
The show, starring Em Rusciano, Ed Kavalee and newcomer Grant Denyer, earned just 3.3% share of national listeners, dropping from a 4.3% share in the previous survey period.
The outcome must come as a disappointment for Austereo bosses, given that the show’s ratings had been on the rise in recent months.

Adding insult to injury, Em, Grant & Ed’s result comes in lower than that of its predecessors Rove McManus and Sam Frost before their show was axed last year.
Back in January 2017, Rove & Sam were dropped in favour of Em Rusciano and Harley Breen, after registering a 4.3% ratings survey share.
Em has been plagued by controversy since her show’s conception.

Early last year, 2Day FM was blasted by listeners after Em revealed she was broadcasting the show from Melbourne.
The sudden departure of her co-star Harley in November and the shock addition of Ed and Grant months later also raised eyebrows among fans.
Earlier this year, Em was the subject of sensational claims that 2Day FM employees quit their jobs after refusing to work with the hot-headed radio personality.

Meanwhile, 2Day FM has also suffered a loss in its drive slot in the latest survey, with Hughsey & Kate dropping to 6.5% down from 7.4%.
The program, hosted by Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller, grew its audience by 0.7 points, resulting in a 10.3 per cent share.
Meanwhile, KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O – presented by Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson – fell 1.7 per cent points to a 9.3 per cent share.
As reported by Mumbrella, Tuesday’s results make Jonesy & Amanda Sydney’s highest rating FM breakfast show – beaten only by 2GB’s The Alan Jones Breakfast Show on the AM bandwidth.
