Three people have been arrested over the alleged murder of a father found buried in a shallow grave on Sunday.
Jade Goodwin’s body was discovered in a paddock on the vacant property at Tyabb, an hour south-west of Melbourne.
Police arrested a 52-year-old man in Crib Point, on the Mornington Peninsula, on Thursday afternoon.
His arrest followed a 34-year-old man being taken into custody on Tuesday along with a 36-year-old woman on Tuesday, both in nearby Hastings.
They were yet to be charged and were ‘assisting police with their inquiries’.
Police earlier discovered a pair of gloves and duct tape nearby, leading them to treat Mr Goodwin’s death as suspicious.
Mr Goodwin’s family and friends took to Facebook earlier this week to call on police to ‘find the people who took Jadey’s life’.
‘Jade Goodwin, what a man you were. I have just found this info about your body being found in Tyabb,’ one woman posted on Facebook.
‘You may be gone Jade but far from forgotten my friend. I pray they find who took your life Jadey and when they do I pray justice is done.’
